Sharing Best Practice & Promote New Technologies
With raising concerns over spamming practices and other non-recommended practices, the MMCS is taking the lead in definining best practices and encouraging players in the market to share their work. In collaboration with the DMAS, MMCS conducts quarterly seminars as an education platform to advertisers. These seminars are a selective platform for distinguished practitioners to share their learnings and their work with the audience.

Represent the Industry
The MMCS is regularily consulted by government agencies and the media in regards to the evolution of the industry and to discuss specific issues in relation to consumers privacy and regulation. The MMCS has a representation role in this regards and welcomes such initiatives.

Award Best Work
The MMCS partners with DMAS during its annual and well aclaimed DM ASIA to organise the selection of regional speakers on the topic of Mobile Marketing and the organisation of the DM ASIA AWARDS, in which Mobile Marketing is represented since 2002.

Advise on Compliance and Legal Framework
The MMCS is regularly consulted on Mobile Marketing Legal compliance. In reaction to raising concerns over mobile subscribers' privacy, the MMCS has started a new innitiative in 2004 to define a white paper on Mobile Subscribers Privacy and Permission Marketing in the context of Mobile and will issue a final Guidelines for Permission Based Mobile Marketing after consultation of MMCS members, government agencies and industry practitioners by the end of the year 2004.
